A decent enough place for lunch...The Promenade needs more inexpensive food options for a quick bite. As indicated in the other reviews, the staff was helpful in walking me through the menu, the combinations of which are quite extensive. The meal was good enough, definitely something different from the usual burger and fries fare that dominates quick eats around the valley. As with most quick service places, if you're looking for healthy, you have to stay away from the meat. The calories for the meat pitas are in line with my expectations, and not entirely surprisingly, the sodium count is extraordinary. But I'm not eating here every day, so I can tolerate occasionally. Worth a stop if you're down in the Promenade for a matinee, but I wouldn't go out of my way for a meal here.

Pita pit is a very good and fast place to eat. I personally love their food because you completely customize whatever you get. It is a better version of a subway.

I have a hard time eating in a place called a PIT. But it's an unforgettable name, so someone knows what she's doing. At the same time, would you call your burger place "Hamburger Hole?" Anyway, it's a little chaotic when it's crowded. The grilled chicken pita with an assortment of veggies and tzatziki sauce was fresh and, well, okay. Of all the restaurants at the Promenade, it seems to be one of the quickest and most convenient. But it's not something I'll crave.

Had an awesome Falafel pita. The staff was extremely nice and very full of energy.

Not bad. Like subway with better ingredients and pitas!

This is my 5 year olds favorite place. He loves the ham pita with black beans and black olives. He won't eat lunch meat at home but take him here and he's asking for more. Parking is a bit tough, the mall location is great for foot traffic but not for cars in general.

Last night was my first time at the pita pit.. For anybody curious and have never been there.. It's like a Chipotle and a subway mixed together.. They do have their own spin on things.. First a wide selection... You order and pay then move to the "fixings" side.. I had the gyro.. My wife had the chicken breast.. Both very great.. I did traditional veggies you find in a gyro. Pretty fresh.. They use gyro meat strips as compared to a traditional cone.. My wife got ranch and cheddar cheese with a little lettuce.. She liked it.. So the size is about 8 inch.. The pitas they use are great they don't get soggy or rip easy.. We actually got two more to go as one is filling for a lunch but a little light for dinner.. My second one was the prime rib which came with onions and peppers.. I skipped the mushrooms... I actually liked that one better.. My wife got a Caesar and switched out some things.. She liked it a lot... All and all its really good I wish there was a couple more.. As the one at the mall closed

Delicious and if you are in a hurry you can take it out. Reminds me of street food in NY. I recommend a hot pita sandwhich choice. I like the chicken pita served hot.

I LOVE the vegetarian options here. My favorite is the falafel with hummus. The falafel is cooked right in front of the customer (instead of pre-cooked and hardening in a bin). Moreover, the individual bins are kept spectacularly clean and the ingredients are always fresh. Not only are these pita wraps super yummy (vegetarians know how rare it is to find a tasty meal) but they are nutritious (and filling). If you are health-conscious, they have wheat wraps and all sorts of awesome veggies (like bean sprouts, spinach, kidney beans, etc.) AND, if you are just looking for a great wrap, you can get the Chicken Caesar (which my boyfriend swears by!) The place is becoming overrun by goofy hipsters, but it could be worse:) Parents can feel good about bringing their child/children here. (But the wraps only come in one size, so if your children can agree on a wrap, have them share one and ask for it to be cut in two). Kudos to the Pita Pit for making healthy food fun! (Speaking of fun ... LOVE the decor!) Keep doing what you're doing, Pita Pit!

Another great Pita Pit franchise. My classic order - Chicken Souvlaki pita with spinach, mushrooms, sprouts, feta, and tzatziki sauce, on a white pita (I'm normally a wheat kinda girl, but the last time I got the wheat pita it completely fell apart.)

Having trekked to the Promenade with boyfriend this afternoon, we decided to grab some lunch at the Pita Pit. There was a huge line when we'd gotten in there, but it seemed to be moving pretty quickly, until we actually got on the line. Boyfriend was pretty sure he'd overheard the dude at the register saying that the computer froze, so we waited a crazy amount of time before being able to place our order. Once we did get the order placed (a gyro for each of us), we got our meal pretty quickly and ate with great delight - they were delish. I altered mine from the traditional gyro by replacing the lettuce with spinach and added bean sprouts and cucumber - yum! Though I don't frequent the place much, I'll no doubt hit it up again for a quick, tasty and fairly healthy meal.

Located in the Shops at Saucon Valley, the Pita Pit is a great lunch stop...though now that I've read the nutrition information, I'm mildly horrified at what I ate. I find myself rationalizing- "...but it seemed so HEALTHY!" The staff was helpful in navigating the menu, which while simple, is a bit overwhelming. Basically, you pick your basic pita type and then can add the fixings as you like. I noticed on their website they have different types of bread, but we were only given the white. I ordered the falafel and appreciated when the cashier asked if I minded it be grilled on the same surface with meat. I assume if you don't want it to get near the meat, you get a microwaved falafel? Ew. Anyways, the pita was pretty big and the hummus was good, as was the falafel itself. My boyfriend's grilled chicken caesar was also tasty and had freshly grilled bacon as well. I won't even begin to mention the nutrition info for that one, but you can imagine. The pita was delicious and I would definitely go back, but my only (minor) qualms are as follows: 1- their drink selection is limited to only artificial sweeteners or high fructose corn syrup- kind of counter to your healthy food claims all over the walls, no? 2- There didn't seem to be many options other than a few types of chips for a side order, though since the pitas are big, maybe they thought you didn't need it? 3- though I didn't miss it, I noticed there were not any combo-type options.

Really delicious all around. I loved the hot sauce I put in my chicken pita. It's further away from me but leaps and bounds better than Subway.

I really love the Pita Pit. I fell in love when I went to the one in Orlando by UCF. I ordered a gyro pita and it was fantastic. It doesn't beat a REAL gyro with fresh tzatziki, but it was still pretty good. Especially with the feta cheese added in. My only complaint is the operating hours. I've missed out a couple times while trying to get a quick dinner because they close an hour or two earlier than many of the restaurants in the Promenade.
